Serena Acrylic-Polyester Upholstery Fabric
Serena — a solid colour with an even, soft-looking surface. 38% polyester, 45% acrylic, 17% cotton, 140 cm, 500 g/m², 50 000 Martindale cycles, pilling 5. 14 colours under the manufacturer's codes, sold by the metre from 3 m.
Description
Serena is the plain member of the Salvador, Santiago, Serena and Sierra quartet, with an even, soft-looking surface. Colour reads at its purest here, with no pattern or two-tone effect.
Use
Serena is the cloth for seats and backs of sofas, armchairs and chairs in daily use: 50,000 Martindale cycles and pilling grade 5 are the best figures in the quartet. The patterned Salvador and Santiago in the same codes can be used alongside for cushions and accents.
Colours and codes
Codes 101–114 match Salvador, Santiago and Sierra. Because the cloth is plain, the rich warm colours show best — ochre 106, terracotta 109 and red 112 — as well as the deep dark 107, 110 and 114. Every colour in the shop carries the same code that is printed on the manufacturer’s sample.
Properties
Composition 38% polyester, 45% acrylic, 17% cotton. Width 140 cm, weight 500 g/m². Abrasion resistance 50 000 Martindale cycles, pilling 5 (on a 1–5 scale).
Matching fabrics
The manufacturer recommends combining it with Salvador and Santiago.
