Triana FR Striped Flame-Retardant Upholstery Fabric
Triana FR is an unusual combination — a striped FR Dessin built to heavy-contract specification. The pattern is a fine vertical multi-stripe (36 × 3.5 cm repeat) woven (not printed) into a 100% polyester FR cloth. The Martindale rating is the surprise: 100,000 rubs at Class SC — twice the threshold for severe contract use — paired with light fastness 7 (top of scale). It is rare to see a striped pattern carrying contract-grade abrasion numbers. EN 1021, IMO Part 8 and C&M certified. 620 g/m² on 140 cm, 25 colours, 96 €/m.
Description
Triana FR sits at the intersection of two categories that usually do not overlap: patterned hospitality cloths and heavy-contract durability fabrics. Patterned cloths typically pull back on Martindale to deliver the visual design; heavy-contract Uni cloths sacrifice the pattern to deliver the Martindale. Triana FR refuses to choose: a fine vertical multi-stripe Dessin in 100% polyester FR, with 100,000 Martindale rubs at Class SC and light fastness 7.
The stripe pattern is woven into the cloth — bands of slightly different tonal yarn create a clean vertical rhythm with a 36 cm vertical repeat. At a chair scale the cloth reads as a refined striped textile; at a long sofa or bench scale it reads as a stable repeating pattern rather than a one-off. EN 1021-1/2, IMO Part 8 and C&M certified — full hospitality compliance. 620 g/m² on 140 cm is substantial. 25 colours in a coherent contract palette.
