Description
Teatro sits at the top of Kobe’s velvet range, and its differentiator is the fibre: Dralon is a branded acrylic fibre with a 60-year history in premium European furnishings — known specifically for the depth and lustre it brings to velvet pile, the dimensional stability it holds through years of use, and the dye-uptake that produces unusually deep, saturated colours. The 60% Dralon / 40% polyester blend in Teatro pairs the visual qualities of Dralon with the abrasion resistance and structural reliability of polyester.
The palette is the cloth’s headline: 65 colours in a single coherent range, the widest in Kobe’s entire upholstery catalogue. The palette is curated rather than aggregated — it spans muted naturals, warm earths, saturated jewel tones (sapphire, emerald, ruby), deep blacks and clean whites, with the visual logic of a single creative-director rather than a multi-season accumulation. Technically: 430 g/m² on 140 cm, 50,000 Martindale rubs at Class SC, pilling 5 (top of scale), rub fastness 5 (top of scale), light fastness 6-7.
