Sadira Recycled-Olefin Upholstery Fabric
Sadira belongs to the same recycled-olefin family as Chia, Chive, Cilantro and Marfil — 93% recycled olefin PP with 7% polyester binding the structure. The Uni weave reads as a flat, outdoor-grade cloth — no chunky boucle, no nubs, just a clean low-key surface. All the practical olefin advantages are there: light fastness 7 (top of scale), UV-stability, hydrophobic stain-release, hydrophobic mould resistance. 520 g/m², 40,000 Martindale rubs (Class SC), shrinkage 1%. 12 colours, 94 €/m. Not flame-retardant.
Description
Sadira sits in Kobe’s recycled-olefin family alongside Chia (12 colours, 82 €/m), Chive (10 colours, 87 €/m), Cilantro (Dessin micro-texture) and Marfil (single-fibre). Of the group, Sadira and Chia / Chive share the closest spec, but Sadira’s flat Uni surface and outdoor-grade weave give it a slightly cooler, more contract-leaning visual character — quieter on a sofa back, less visible weave detail than Chia’s natural-fibre look.
The olefin payoff is the same across the family: olefin (polypropylene) is naturally hydrophobic (spills sit and wipe off), UV-stable (light fastness 7 holds colours in sunlit rooms), and resistant to mould and mildew. The 7% polyester is the structural binder. 520 g/m² on a 140 cm bolt is a comfortable mid-weight; 40,000 Martindale rubs at Class SC covers heavy domestic and general contract. Not flame-retardant — for FR specs in the same olefin family, see Cassia FR.
