Platinum FR is a heavy-duty contract FR Uni in 100% polyester — a fine, smooth-surface cloth engineered to last in projects where the seating is sat on every day. The headline number is the Martindale: 100,000 rubs at Class SC — twice the threshold for severe contract use — paired with pilling 4-5 and rub fastness 4-5. The palette is led by cool platinum-greys and warm neutrals, 18 colours edited as a coherent contract palette. 414 g/m² on 140 cm is a comfortable mid-weight — easy to upholster on shaped frames while still feeling substantial. Description
Platinum FR sits in the same heavy-contract family as Borax FR — a 100% polyester Uni with the same 100,000 Martindale at Class SC rating that lets it carry the hardest-working hospitality and contract specifications. Where Borax FR has a 23-colour palette led by warm naturals, Platinum FR is built around 18 colours dominated by cool platinum greys and refined neutrals — easier to specify into corporate, healthcare and modernist hospitality schemes.
Inherent flame retardancy on EN 1021-1/2 (cigarette & match), IMO Part 8 (marine) and C&M. 414 g/m² on a 140 cm bolt — slightly lighter than Borax FR, which makes upholstery on complex curved frames easier. Pilling 4-5, dry/wet rub fastness 4-5, light fastness 5 and 1% shrinkage cover heavy contract use comfortably.
