Paxton FR Flame-Retardant Upholstery Fabric
Paxton FR is a UK-spec heavy-contract FR Uni with a wide palette — 100% polyester woven with a fine two-tone cross-hatched micro-texture that catches light unevenly across the surface and reads as a quietly textured cloth rather than a flat Uni. The technical sheet is contract-grade: 100,000 Martindale rubs at Class SC, paired with the full UK-spec certification stack (EN 1021, IMO Part 8, C&M, BS 5852 CRIB 5). 35 colours — among the widest palettes in the Kobe contract FR range. 417 g/m², 101 €/m.
Description
Paxton FR compresses three useful things into one cloth: heavy-contract abrasion, UK-spec certification, and broad palette. The Martindale rating is the headline: 100,000 rubs at Class SC, twice the threshold for severe contract use. The certification stack opens UK hospitality projects: EN 1021, IMO Part 8, C&M, plus BS 5852 CRIB 5 for British compliance. The 35-colour palette is unusually wide — most contract FR Uni cloths offer 18-24 colours, and Paxton FR’s breadth makes it possible to spec a single fabric across a whole multi-room scheme.
The two-tone cross-hatched micro-weave gives Paxton FR a quietly textured surface without committing to a Dessin pattern — the cloth reads as warm and tactile in interior photography, but never competes with cushions, drapes or rugs for attention. 100% polyester FR. 417 g/m² on 140 cm — mid-light, easier to upholster on shaped frames than heavier cloths. Light fastness 4.
