Gabra Viscose Ribbed Upholstery Fabric

Description

Gabra is a viscose-led cloth, and the viscose does most of the visible work. Where a pure-polyester Uni reads flat and slightly cool, Gabra catches light along its fine vertical rib in a way that adds depth without adding pattern. The viscose content (57%) is high enough that the cloth handles like a natural fibre — dry, breathable, soft to touch — while the 43% polyester component contributes the abrasion resistance, light fastness and dimensional stability that pure viscose struggles to deliver on its own.

50,000 Martindale rubs at Class SC is comfortably in severe contract / heavy domestic territory; rub fastness 5/5 is at the top of the standard scale and means the surface will not pick up dye-bleed from clothes or cushions; pilling 4-5 keeps it looking new through years of use. 510 g/m² on a 140 cm bolt is a properly substantial cloth — the kind of weight that anchors a long sofa back and holds its line on a bench seat. Light fastness 5, shrinkage 1%. Not flame-retardant. 21 colours edited as a single coherent palette — Gabra is the considered upholstery option for living rooms, lounges, suites and boutique residential projects.
