Chacar II is a light, cotton-led upholstery cloth — 60% cotton blended with 40% polyester, woven as a smooth Uni with a subtle micro-texture. The cotton content gives the surface a dry, breathable natural-fibre touch; the polyester adds dimensional stability and colour-fastness. The 50-colour palette is one of the widest in the Kobe Uni range, edited as a coherent residential set. 220 g/m² on 140 cm is light — closer to a curtain weight than a typical upholstery cloth — which makes Chacar II ideal for slip-covers, cushions, decorative panels and light-use upholstery. 25,000 Martindale rubs (Class GD) covers light residential use; not appropriate for sustained contract or daily heavy-use seating. 63 €/m.
Description
Chacar II sits at the light-weight, cotton-leaning end of Kobe’s upholstery range. The 60% cotton / 40% polyester blend reads as a natural-fibre cloth on the chair — dry, breathable, slightly textured — while the polyester ensures the colour stays bright and the cloth holds its shape over years of light use. At 220 g/m² on 140 cm it is a notably light upholstery weight, closer to a heavy curtain than a typical sofa cloth. That weight makes it easy to drape, easy to slip-cover, easy to cushion — but limits it to lighter-use applications. 25,000 Martindale rubs at Class GD is general domestic territory: appropriate for residential sofas in lower-traffic rooms, decorative panels, headboards, slip-covers and cushions, but not for hospitality contract use or daily-heavy seating.
The 50-colour palette is the headline feature — unusually wide for any upholstery cloth, edited as a coherent set spanning cool whites through warm naturals to deeper neutrals and saturated accent tones. Not flame-retardant.
