Cassia FR is a sustainability-led FR Uni in a heavy boucle / chenille structure — 55% recycled olefin paired with 24% polyester and 21% PAN (polyacrylonitrile / acrylic). The olefin content brings natural UV-stability and resistance to staining; the PAN brings the dry, dye-stable handle of acrylic; and the polyester ties the structure together with FR performance. The result is a 670 g/m² heavy contract cloth — chunky, textured, warm — for sofas, lounge chairs and bench seating where you want presence on the surface. 45,000 Martindale rubs (Class SC), light fastness 4-5, pilling 4. Description

Cassia FR brings together three fibres that rarely sit together in a single FR cloth: recycled olefin (the 55% backbone), polyester (24%, the FR carrier and structural reinforcer) and PAN / polyacrylonitrile (21%, the soft, dry, acrylic-like handle). Each contributes a specific property — olefin is naturally UV-stable and stain-resistant, polyester carries the inherent flame retardancy, PAN delivers a familiar dry-touch finish — and the result is a fabric that is more than the sum of its parts.

Visually, the structure is heavy and textured — somewhere between a boucle and a chenille — with the loops sitting prominently on the surface and catching shadow generously. 670 g/m² is a serious cloth: it holds shape on long sofa backs and tight bench seats, and it photographs as a “real fabric” rather than as a thin upholstery sleeve. 45,000 Martindale rubs (Class SC) and rub fastness 4-5 cover severe domestic and general contract use. Light fastness 4-5 is solid for most indoor situations; the olefin’s UV-stability extends real-world colour holding well beyond what the headline number suggests.
